You have the option to compile your preferred music, movies, TV series, anime, literature, and visual arts into an "artics Board." This feature can be particularly useful at SXSW for establishing common ground with new acquaintances, facilitating conversation starters and fostering connections.

Upon creating your board using our app, we will pair you with an individual at SXSW who shares your enthusiasm. Additionally, you can explore gatherings and activities where like-minded individuals are congregating.

artics does not revolve around assessments or evaluations, unlike some other social media platforms that emphasize status or aesthetics. Instead, it focuses on leveraging your interests as a means of expressing genuine emotions and thoughts within a community of real identities.

What is the artics Board, and why SXSW?

The artics Board serves as a digital reinterpretation of the "Hen'ai Map," a popular communication tool from Japan where individuals list their hobbies on a piece of paper. Originally conceptualized by Saito Takashi, a distinguished educator with a prolific portfolio of over 400 publications, this method has been widely endorsed for improving communication in educational settings, workshops, and social functions. Its online popularity is evidenced by millions of Google searches and daily user posts.

Our current endeavor involves adapting this approach for SXSW 2024 with the aim of recapturing its inherent passion and interactive essence.
